Little is Much When God is in It

Independent Baptist Pastors today are not standing with the faithful men who are preaching the truth. This of course makes it look as though the few are loosing. But there are still 7000 who have not bowed their knee to Baal, and God loves working with few in numbers because he gets all the glory.

Judges 7:1-7 reads, "Then Jerubbaal, who is Gideon, and all the people that were with him, rose up early, and pitched beside the well of Harod: so that the host of the Midianites were on the north side of them, by the hill of Moreh, in the valley. And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people that are with thee are too many for me to give the Midianites into their hands, lest Israel vaunt themselves against me, saying, Mine own hand hath saved me. Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and afraid, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. And the Lord said unto Gideon, The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there: and it shall be, that of whom I say unto thee, This shall go with thee, the same shall go with thee; and of whomsoever I say unto thee, This shall not go with thee, the same shall not go. So he brought down the people unto the water: and the Lord said unto Gideon, Every one that lappeth of the water with his tongue, as a dog lappeth, him shalt thou set by himself; likewise every one that boweth down upon his knees to drink. And the number of them that lapped, putting their hand to their mouth, were three hundred men: but all the rest of the people bowed down upon their knees to drink water. And the Lord said unto Gideon, By the three hundred men that lapped will I save you, and deliver the Midianites into thine hand: and let all the other people go every man unto his place. So the people took victuals in their hand, and their trumpets: and he sent all the rest of Israel every man unto his tent, and retained those three hundred men: and the host of Midian was beneath him in the valley."

God loves to work when here is few in numbers. Only 300 men went to war to deliver the Israelites out of the hand of the Midianites. God didn't want Israel to get the glory. He wanted all the glory to go to himself. I don't feel bed for the Pastors who are standing for God's word. God will get all the glory through them. All the other effeminate Pastors will act as though they have done something when they have done nothing but compromise the truth when they see God bless the few standing.

There were not a handful of Elijahs. There were not a handful of Isaiahs. There were certainty not a handful of John the Baptists and Peters. God doesn't need a handful of worthless prophets when he can just get all the glory with a few bold and obedient ones. Instead of conforming to the world's ideology, we need to be adhering to the "old paths, where is the good way". It is a shame that too many so-called "Baptist Pastors" are rejecting the word of God in favor of fame and money.

At the rate so many compromising Pastors are exploding, it makes the future of Christianity scary. "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" With the few that we have standing for the word of God today, we need to back them up full speed.
                                                                          -Lord, strengthen your prophets.
