The Post Tribulation Rapture

 Many Churches teach today that Jesus can come at any moment, and that we will be raptured up before the Tribulation (Pre-Tribulation Rapture). However if we let the Bible alone tell us the timeline for the end-times, then we will come to a different conclusion. The Bible actually teaches that the tribulation will come, then the rapture. The Bible teaches a Post-Tribulation Rapture.

Now we are going to look at the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 12, Luke 21), but first we will look at other passages in regards to Jesus' second coming.

Acts 1:8-11 says, " But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven."

Here we see Jesus departing from his disciples with a cloud and two men in white apparel saying the same way they saw him leave (with a cloud) is the same way he will return (with a cloud).

Revelation 1:7 says, "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen."

 Once again we see Jesus' second coming with clouds in another scripture. Now keep that in mind as we go to the Olivet Discourse.

Matthew 24:29-30  "29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory:"

Here we see that after the tribulation that Jesus will come in the clouds.

Mark 13:24-26 "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory"

Luke 21:26-27" 26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."

These passages are very clear that Jesus will return after the tribulation with clouds.

Now since Jesus will return after the tribulation, that means we know when he will return. After the tribulation. Of course no man knoweth the day or the hour, but we know the period of time. It will be a period after the tribulation.
 Within Revelation Chapter 6, we not only see what is going to happen before Jesus comes, but also the things leading up to Christ's second coming.

Revelation 6:12-17 " 12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;
13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"

Now if you read the full passage of Revelation Chapter 6 or better known as Daniel's70th Week you see the events leading up to the Rapture. All these events are a specific seal. The Rapture is the sixth seal. Now this is a clear timeline for what is to come.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 " Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God."

The Bible teaches that until the falling away (which we are witnessing now) and the coming of the Antichrist sitting in the temple deceiving people into believing that he's Jesus, then we will see Christ's coming.

The Bible couldn't be even clearer regarding this doctrine. The reason why this is such a hard doctrine for Pastors to preach is because there is other false doctrines such as the "Jews" in Israel today being God's chosen people, that makes it hard for this to be taught. Of course the Jews are not the chosen people any longer (Romans 2:28-29, Galatians 3:7, 1 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 2:12-19, Genesis 12:1-3, Galatians 3:16) but false prophets such as John Hagee, and Billy Graham are teaching otherwise.

Let no man deceive you. The Grace of God be with you all.
